Picture overload!

I get pictures texted to me often from the members in the area Sister Haymond is serving in.  It's so fun to get random pictures of her happy smiling face!  Here are some that I've gotten over the last few months.  Enjoy!

#SoreForDayz (6/13/2016)

This week was good. I totally forgot you guys had trek but so did our stake so it was awesome. We got to hear about some of their experiences and how sore they were and how sore you guys must be. But the good always outweighs the bad!

On Saturday we helped this lady move that lived on the 3rd story of an apartment complex. so we had to bring all of her big heavy furniture down and there was exactly one male and like 7 females. so basically we rock but we are still so sore and stiff.

Other than that move, not much else happened. Cierra cancelled her lesson and we went by to set up another one and now she just cancelled again but its ok she has like super legit reasons for cancelling but Satan is definitely trying so hard! she has a brain tumor so please fast and pray for her that she will be okay!

this was the 2nd week in a row that we had a good sacrament meeting in all 3 of our wards. how is that possible? haha but anyways we had a mission farewell in one and bishop Allen (who is the bomb.com) gave us a shout out from the pulpit and called the ward to repentance (not really) and said that they should have us over and find people for us to teach so ya basically it was the BEST. #lovegatewaysgardensward #ourzoneisintohashtags #idkwhy

Well, I dont know what else to say besides I love you! I am always praying for each of you!
Heavenly Father loves you and so does Jesus!
Have a blessed week!

Mini Zone Conference

Hello from Higley! (The same area I was in!) (6/6/2016)

I did not get transfered!!!!! And I stayed with Sister Anderson!!! WOO!!! :) also I am so sorry that we are emailing so late we got out hair trimmed today and were running errands earlier. But all is well in Zion:)

This week was amazing we saw so many miracles! I am so grateful for the Lords hand in our lives. He is always mindful of us and of our circumstances!

So, super huge miracle #1.) We found a NEW INVESTIGATOR!! IN COPPER RANCH!!  Copper Ranch is probably our slowest ward right now. and the members are not really missionary minded. and the Lord is aware of that and so we were deciding where to tract and we decided to tract in the new part of Copper Ranch. Which kinda stinks sometimes cause the mosquitoes are really bad there. But we went anyways and tracted out an entire street. we tracted into a member family and got to get to know them a little and share a message with them and then the 2nd house after them, we met Sierra. She is so GLODEN its crazy. She started talking about how she just moved from Mesa and has been looking for missionaries and wants to read the book of mormon and wants to go to church and maybe get baptized! so we have a lesson with her tonight!!! We are so excited! She is amazing! its just amazing that the Lord guides us to those people who are prepared! (after that, we said a prayer of gratitude and were talking about how thats a story out of PMG or something!😆)

Then a couple other little miracles, like 9 of 10 doors opening while tracting, miracle member present lessons, me not being sick for more than a couple of hours.... it was a great week!

I think the only downside to all of this is that this weekend the high was 117. it. was. so. HOT. (we were in our car though for most of it! whew!)

Congrats to the newly weds!!! I am so grateful that they were married in the temple:)
also mom, that "5-fast-sundays-left-thing" was a pretty low blow... im already freaking out!!!! I dont need reminders! hahaha!

anyways... there are more pictures to come. just not ready quite yet:)

I love you all so so so much!!!!  Have a great week and see MIRACLES!!!!

Transfers....Maybe? (5/30/2016)

We don't actually have the info on transfers yet... calls were supposed to come last night but they definitely did not come and so we are still waiting but I am praying that I will stay here with Sister Anderson for at least one more transfer... If not the rest of my mission! (Which is only 5 months... can you believe it?!)

But anyways life has been good our area is doing really good. We saw some cool miracles this week.

1.) We have been trying to contact this LA (less active) family that recently moved into one of our wards and just have never been able to catch them until Thursday night we thought we would go contact this referral that lives over by them. Well that person wasn’t home and it was like 8:30 so we thought we would stop by the Edwards and as we were walking over, we saw this couple out smoking and it was them!! So we went over and introduced ourselves and figured out that it was them and they invited us in and it was pretty awkward but it was still a miracle! We set up a return appointment and everything!

2.) So kind of the same thing, we were stopping by a PI (potential Investigator) and he wasn’t home, and we saw that his neighbor was home and so we thought we would just stop by and meet them since it was pretty late and we knew they were home... and turns out her name was Melanie and she was a LA member and she was SUPER SWEET and invited us in and offered us some pizza and water and stuff and said she would love to have us over for dinner so we are going to start working with her and helping her come back to church! so yep that was awesome!

Welp... I am so happy for Maddie and Jackson! Congrats to them! I am so grateful for temples and that families can be together forever :)

I am so grateful to be serving the Lord for these short 18 months. I am grateful to all those who have helped me get to this point and I am especially grateful for the atonement. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that he is my Savior and that without him, we would be lost! I am grateful to know that the Book of Mormon is true and that we have a Prophet on the earth to lead and guide us. I leave you these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Love you all! Have a happy Memorial Day! And a good week! See miracles!

Opposition in ALL things... Including Missionary Work. (5/23/2016)

"Opposition permits us to grow toward what our Heavenly Father would have us become."
Thank you Elder Oaks for this beautiful talk.
Hello Everyone! [Hi mom and dad:)]
I hope everything is going good at home in good ole Tooele/Stansbury.
This week was really good. We were able to be trained by President Nattress and I was able to have my last interview with him... :'(
I dont want to be trunky, but he talked with us about a lot of things as if this were really our final/departing interview. We talked about life after the mission... {I dont think I am going to extend...Mom: you can thank President for that.} and we talked about marriage and choosing an eternal companion... ya it was a pretty weird day. After interviews, which lasted all day, we went to the Chiropractor. (dont freak out, I was just getting adjusted. He said that my back probably hurt so much cause one of my legs was about an inch longer than the other...!!) Then, after that, we had dinner and a relief society activity in one of our wards. and 3 less actives showed up!! woo!
The rest of the week was pretty normal. I do want to stress how much I love my companion and how much she has helped me through my trials. Sister Vonnie Anderson has done wonders for me and for my emotional health. I was struggling when she came to the area. I was so stressed and being a worry-wart and just it was no bueno. But she is very strong and is very solid in her faith and is just calm as can be. So she is a blessing. Truly an angel. I am so grateful for her and for her example to me. I hope to one day grow up and be like her:)
So here's the meat of my email and why it is headed the way it is...
We all face opposition.
we all have the lowest of lows, and the highest of highs.
And all of this experience, all of these things that we face, weather it be a blessing or a burden, a storm or sunshine... all of these things permit us or allow us, to become like our Heavenly Father.
For all of you who are not my immediate family that might be reading this, might know that I have been facing some mental challenges and some mental opposition. I know by prayer and by scripture study, that this is a gift from God for me to be able to reach my full potential and to become who Heavenly Father wants me to become. This is my test. I have accepted this challenge long before I was even born on this earth.
Think of it... we lived with God before we came to earth, before we received our physical bodies. While we lived with him, we were learning and growing to prepare for our earth life. Then there came a time where we could not progress any longer. But to be able to become like God, we needed physical bodies and we needed the experiences that would come with it, no matter how hard or challenging it may be. and 2/3 of the host of heaven accepted that plan. Anyone who reads this, or who is living on this earth, who has a body, accepted that plan. The world was created, Man and Woman were created, a Savior was provided, and the mortal journey begins. I am sure we knew that it would not be easy. But we knew what was in store for us if we held out faithful, if we kept the commandments, if we again chose our Heavenly Fathers plan.
I know it is hard. Believe me, I know. this world is going crazy. There are so many things that Satan tries to use to tempt us and lead us astray. But be stong my brothers and sisters. Hope on. Have faith. These are the latter days. The fullness of times. We will always have the gospel and the church from here on out. The Savior is coming again. I know that He lives. I know that He loves me and that He loves every one of us. I know that if we endure to the end, we will have eternal life with our Heavenly Father and with our families. I am so grateful for the Plan of Happiness, the Plan of Salvation, the Plan of Redemption, whatever you want to call it. It was designed for you, and for me. It is a perfect plan. It ensures that we have a way back to our Heavenly Father.
I know all of these things to be true. I would not know it if it werent for the restoration and the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith, thank goodness for that man. In fact, Praise to the man! I know this church is true! I know that the Atonement is all powerful, all enabling, all encompassing. I know that he can heal any wound and mend any broken heart. Of these things I testify in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.
I love you all. I pray for you. I hope you enjoy your week! Count your blessings! and dont count the days, make the days count! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!!!!!
